OUR BACKGROUND
Horticultural Handiwork, Inc. sprouted in 2002 as a general landscaping business in Waterford, WI. Initially, the main focus of the business was to serve residential property owners with prompt, quality service at affordable prices. The seedling company then branched out into maintenance services and container plant production.
We have grown into a full service landscape and garden service company. We grow the majority of the perennials and some of the shrubs that we install in our projects to make sure we provide our customers with high quality, healthy plants.
Our credentials are rooted in education and experience. Bruce, company president, grew up on a farm in central Wisconsin. He earned B.S. degrees in Soil Science and Plant Science and a M.S. degree in Agronomy. For 17 years, he worked as an Extension agent answering questions and conducting educational programs for the general public. Jeanne, Bruce's life and business partner, has a B.S. degree in Plant Science - Horticulture, a M.S. degree in Plant Science, and a WI teaching license. She has been involved in horticulture for years as a garden center manager, nursery manager, and Extension educator.
